Denny Hamlin leads at Martinsville

Toyota Racing Weekend Recap

NASCAR® -- CUP CAMRYS, TUNDRAS CLOSE TO A PAIR OF MARTINSVILLE WINS

Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch were both victims of short-track bump-and-run maneuvers at Virginia's Martinsville Speedway.

In Sunday's race, Hamlin was denied defending his 2008 NASCAR® Sprint Cup Series™ (NSCS) victory at the track when Jimmie Johnson bumped and then passed him on lap 485 of the 500-lap race. Hamlin wound up finishing second in his No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing FedEx Toyota Camry.

In Monday's postponed NASCAR® Camping World Truck Series™ (NCWTS) race, Busch's run for the win was denied when eventual race-winner Kevin Harvick nudged him on lap 241. The damage sustained by the contact with Harvick caused a tire rub on Busch's No. 51 Miccosukee Resort Tundra, and a series of unfortunate events relegated Busch to a 17th-place finish.

NHRA -- Al-ANABI DUO JUST MISS OUT ON HOUSTON FINAL

In this weekend's NHRA event in Baytown, Texas, Del Worsham seemed destined for his first final-round appearance with the new Al-Anabi/Alan Johnson Racing Toyota Funny Car team. But in his semifinal with Ashley Force Hood -- a rematch of last year's final -- the defending race champion was forced to lift off after smoking his tires.
