 | Hey Toyota Racing Fans, Weekend Rewind: DIXON PUTS TOYOTA INTO SONOMA WINNER'S CIRCLE: Larry Dixon's magical season continued Sunday as he defeated arch-rival Tony Schumacher in the Top Fuel final to record his eighth win of the season in Sunday's NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series' Fram Autolite Nationals at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California. NASCAR® WEEKEND WRAP: Four Camry drivers earned top-10 finishes in Saturday night's NASCAR® Nationwide Series™ (NNS) race at Gateway International Raceway near St. Louis -- Reed Sorenson (second), Trevor Bayne (third), Steve Wallace (fifth) and Brian Scott (sixth). It was Bayne's best-career NNS finish, the best result of the season for Wallace and equaled Sorenson's best effort of 2010 (also finished second at Nashville in April). Five Tundras also scored top-10 finishes in Saturday afternoon's NASCAR® Camping World Truck Series™ (NCWTS) event at the 1.25-mile Illinois oval -- Todd Bodine (fourth), Timothy Peters (sixth), Aric Almirola (eighth), Brian Ickler (ninth) and Mike Skinner (10th). Three Toyota drivers recorded top-10 finishes in Sunday's NASCAR K&N Pro Series West (NKNPSW) race at Portland International Raceway -- Eric Holmes (second), Paulie Harraka (third) and Tom Klauer (10th). Photo credit: LAT Moving Forward: INDIANA BOUND: The NASCAR® Sprint Cup Series™(NSCS) heads to the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway for Sunday's Brickyard 400 following the second-to-last off-weekend of the season. Toyota drivers posted a pair of top-10 finishes at the 2.5-mile speedway in 2009 -- Brian Vickers (fifth) and David Reutimann (eighth). Denny Hamlin has the best finish of any Toyota driver at Indy, recording a third-place result in 2008. Since joining the series in 2007, Toyota has won races at 18 of 22 Sprint Cup Series venues. Will this be the year a Camry driver takes home a first-place trophy from the Brickyard? UNDER THE LIGHTS: The Nationwide Series and Truck Series will compete in a pair of night races at O'Reilly Raceway Park (ORP) near Indianapolis this weekend. Toyota owns two NNS victories at the .686-mile short track -- including the manufacturer's first-ever series win by Jason Leffler in 2007, which came in Toyota's 22nd NNS race. Camry driver Kyle Busch dominated the event at ORP in 2008, leading 197 (of 200) laps en route to victory lane. In the NHRA: DIXON LOOKS TO CLINCH TOP SPOT IN COUNTDOWN: With a 211-point championship lead heading into this weekend's Mile-High Nationals, Larry Dixon can clinch the number one spot in the NHRA Countdown to the Championship playoffs by simply advancing to the second round. COUNTDOWN ROLL-CALL: With two races remaining in the “regular season,” two Toyota-sponsored drivers – Larry Dixon and Antron Brown - have already clinched their spots in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs. Those ranks should grow this weekend as Morgan Lucas Racing teammates Shawn Langdon and Morgan Lucas should wrap up playoff berths.
