Toyota Racing: The 2010 Race Season is Here!

The NASCAR® Sprint Cup Series™ (NSCS) officially returns to the track on Saturday night with the annual Budweiser Shootout at Daytona, NASCAR's traditional "non-points" season-opening event which this year opens a new decade for America's No.1 form of motorsports. New for 2010, the Budweiser Shootout at Daytona field now includes a collection of the sport's top drivers and top performers at Daytona. Below is the new criteria, with eligibility dependent on drivers having competed in the NSCS during the past two seasons: The 12 drivers who competed in the 2009 Chase for the Sprint Cup (Denny Hamlin and Brian Vickers) Past NSCS champions Past Budweiser Shootout champions Past Daytona 500 and Coke Zero 400 Powered By Coca-Cola champions (Michael Waltrip) The reigning Raybestos Rookie of the Year (Joey Logano) A new Qualifying Format: Traditionally, the NSCS begins qualifying for the Daytona 500 on the Sunday following the Budweiser Shootout at Daytona. That changes this year. Daytona 500 qualifying will begin at 1:05 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturday before the Budweiser Shootout.
