In NHRA:  Dixon Narrowly Misses Title While Brown Wins Nhra Finale At Pomona The 2009 NHRA Full Throttle Top Fuel title fight between Toyota-supported driver Larry Dixon and Tony Schumacher lived up to its advance billing throughout the weekend at the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals. Unfortunately, Dixon came up just short in the season-long war with Schumacher, while another Toyota-supported racer, Antron Brown, won the season's final battle at Auto Club Raceway in Pomona. In NASCAR®: Photo Credit: LAT The one-mile Phoenix International Raceway featured a total of 11 top-10 finishes for Toyota drivers across the three NASCAR events that took place at the Arizona oval over the weekend. Camry driver Kyle Busch almost clinched the Nationwide Series™ driver's championship at Phoenix and will win the title when he starts the season finale race next Saturday. A pair of third-place finishes in the Sprint Cup Series™ and Nationwide Series™ events and a runner-up result in the Camping World Truck Series™ race also highlighted the weekend for Toyota drivers.
