Toyota Racing: Two Toyota Wins Top Triple Weekend

Toyota drivers at Texas Motor Speedway and Nashville Superspeedway were able to make history when they got to victory lane in this weekend’s NASCAR® races while a Camry driver recorded a top-three finish at Pocono Raceway.

Tundra driver Todd Bodine made history in Friday night's NASCAR® Camping World Truck Series™ (NCWTS) race in Texas when he became the first driver in series history to win five races at the same race track. This was Bodine's second victory in 2009, having also won the season-opener at Daytona, and 17th triumph in 123 NCWTS races. He led the field twice -- for 52 laps around the Texas oval -- on his way to victory lane.

Camry driver Kyle Busch earned his first career victory at Nashville Superspeedway in Saturday night's NASCAR® Nationwide Series™ (NNS) event. Busch started from the pole and led the field four times for a race-high 173 (of 225) laps in his Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) No. 18 NOS Energy Drink Camry on the 1.33-mile concrete oval.

Brown Retakes Top Fuel Points Lead With Fourth Final Round

Second-year Top Fuel sensation Antron Brown reclaimed the Full Throttle Drag Racing Series points lead with his fourth final-round appearance of the season. Driving the Toyota-supported Matco Tools/DirecTV dragster, Brown finished runner-up at the 12th annual Route 66 NHRA Nationals after one of the closest races of the day.

In Funny Car, Cruz Pedregon just missed putting his Toyota in its first final of 2009 after sweeping the final three events of the '08 season en route to the championship. He advanced to the semifinals for the third time this season, but fell short of a first final when brother Tony produced low e.t. of the meet, 4.06. Cruz was just a car-length behind with a 4.11.
